my mantra
do what you need to do for your body, in the moment.
My Journey
I have always been involved in physical activity, but not until severe rugby injury did I turn to yoga. I have now been practicing yoga for over 15 years. The subtle yet profound shifts inspired by attending yoga classes with teachers that I began to connect with eventually led me to continue on the path to teach yoga - and to be able to discover both the spiritual and physical benefits a regular yoga practice has to offer.
The classes I teach reflect the passion I have for yoga; I do this through playful challenges, fun energy, and succulent stretches. I like to focus on bringing awareness to alignment and finding an understanding of doing what you need to do for your body in the moment. Being able to recognize what your body (and mind) need in a moment is WHY I love yoga; I remember never listening to my body and not really acknowledging what was going on and why certain things were happening. For me, being able to connect with someone and ensure they feel they have the tools to make the best decision for THEM on and off the mat is key to my teaching and practice!
In August 2019, my husband Chris and I welcomed a baby girl named Brooklyn! I have since found a new love for teaching pre and post-natal - along with caregiver and baby type classes. I realized how much goes on during pregnancy and post baby - and love to help these folks connect back to their bodies and notice the new shifts and changes that are happening.
